I purchased a home in 2007 from Douglas homes. Everything went fine until the market fell and they were supposed to put a second coat on our common driveway. This is standard practice for this builder, according to there salesman and general mgr, to have the second coat of asphalt applied. We are small community of 4 homes with a common driveway. We were told after the last home was built they would finish our common driveway with a second coat. After repeated efforts from the homeowners, Douglas has been completely unresponsive and will not finish the work that was promised. We all have several emails and faxes stated that the work was going to be completed when the last home was finished. When buying a home from Douglas Homes make sure that all work to be done is in you contract! We all are completely frustrated and unsatisfied with the lack of professional and customer service.
